ABC's - 'always be closing' & poo-ing on people
I am a big fan of selling. selling things that I value and things that I think other people would be crazy not to value as well. whether its the latest product from Google or the kind of toilet paper you should use (email me for professional opinion). So at Xcentric, where I work, it has become easier and easier to sell things as I am convinced of our value. what we can do for the market and that...

we post-moderns
read this, thought the below - pardon the french, kept with the theme.
has the post-modern revolutionist denounced all dogma only to realize they are the most dogmatic of all? has the ‘institutions’ of life made it impossible for we post-moderns to trust any institution at all? wondering if rage/malice/anger/_____ have any redeeming attributes if not channeled through an...

CI:Commanders Intent:give me 20!
This week I have deployed a new discipline called “CI”. I have tried it a few mornings over the past few days. I have also missed some - so i guess it’s not a discipline yet….working on it!
I learned this from my friend Will who has been a mentor to me for years. He has written a book called Church Unique and lays out the whole CI concept as it applies to churches in there...

S.K.
I had a chill night last night, wanted to watch a flick, read, and do some work…..I picked up a book that I have had on my shelf a while by Soren Kierkegaard, this quote stopped me in my tracks;
“If life is not to be frittered away, being emptily employed with what while it lasts is vanity and when it is past is nothingness, or busily employed with what makes a noise indeed at the...

Hope - thoughts while listening to 'Falling...
It seems that a common denominator of hope is time. That in time all will be made well. This current suffering will one day end. That this too shall pass and I/Family/our love/etc will be restored.
I can’t help but think that the most powerful hope exists outside of our concept of time. outside of this realm of possibility based on biases for preference and circumstance.

i still don't agree with my media literacy teacher
in college I had a media literacy class where I had an assignment to read/listen to the news an hour a day. I decided to challenge the teacher bc i really just wanted to slack and read books instead of listen to the news (she did not like me after this). The challenge: is watching the news or understanding why the news is news more important? I was reminded of this episode of college after reading...
casa!
good to be home. i am on west coast time though……and Vegas time, which is even later. so it’s 2:45 and I am wired. I watched the ‘Lost’ season finale tonight - crazy nuts.
almost home
something i have definitely realized on this trip is the shear fact that I am tired constantly. I don’t ever feel rested. I get enough sleep, have ate relatively well and have still been working out…..just tired. I think it’s because my mind can’t rest. I can’t not not think if that makes sense. (double negative yes)
I have to think about daily happenings/occurrences...

random thinking about 'cats'
the lining up of logic could constitute as a definition for a sentence. It seems that while many people i cross on the streets agree with me about the concept of a ‘cat’, there are many that disagree on such words/things as; ‘truth’, ‘absolute’, etc. I am not sure what my generation and generations to come will do when everyone disagrees as to what a...

in a picture
Most of us have a photo album, be it on a computer or in ol’ fashion book form. Thumb through the pictures – how many are ‘sad’ pictures?
Chances are you are like me and have chosen not to document those times via photography. In our albums we find that we are; having fun with friends, enjoying a candid moment with a lover, amazed by a scenic escape, or just snapping peculiar things because they...
